Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification or eligibility in accordance with state requirements
• Demonstrated experience or coursework in special education instructional strategies
• Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Knowledge of IEP development and legal compliance is strongly preferred

Responsibilities:

• Create, implement, and adapt lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and learning styles
• Monitor progress, administer assessments, and document educational growth
• Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with team members and guardians
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, aides, families, and specialists to provide coordinated support
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all policies and regulations related to special education
• Employ effective classroom management techniques to cultivate a nurturing, respectful learning environment
