Emergency Department Technician - WCMC Emergency Services - Per Diem - 8 Hour - Nights

Job Description: The Emergency Services Department (ED) Technician supports Emergency Services Department personnel in patient care and environmental maintenance activities within a non‑licensed scope of practice. Responsibilities Assist ED staff with care of patients under supervision. Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and well‑supplied department. Assist the Unit Secretary/Charge Nurse with phones, order entry, and other unit support activities. Education & Experience High School Diploma Required or Equivalent. One year of experience in Healthcare – Emergency Department preferred. Preferred experience in Healthcare – Paramedic, Healthcare – Nursing Assistant, or Healthcare – Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Certifications & Licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association Required. EMT Emergency Medical Technician for California Emergency Medical Services Required at time of hire. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Required at time of hire. Paramedic License for California Emergency Medical Services Required at time of hire. Skills Phlebotomy experience. 12‑Lead EKG experience. Work Shift 08:00 – Per Diem Nights (no waiver). Scheduled weekly hours are not specified. Pay Hourly $40.04 – $52.20. Pay may be adjusted to the local market for hires outside the Bay Area.
