Senior Merchant Card Services Sales Officer

Responsibilities Under minimal direction, market and sell the entire range of department products and services throughout a designated territory within Fulton Financial Corporation's geographical footprint. Maintain in‑depth knowledge of industry trends and develop a strong community presence and networking contacts to access potential clients. Responsible for generating income and sales opportunities by selling department products and services. Manage a larger portfolio with complex and larger businesses. Meet sales goals by contacting customers and prospects through personal visits, phone calls, written communications, prospecting potential clients via referral sources, cold calling, and responding to incoming referrals from other bank staff. Prepare customized written proposals, follow up to ensure consummation of potential sales, conduct maintenance calls on existing customers, provide new customer onboarding information to operational staff, and maintain expertise in departmental product set. Assist in the design and presentation of both internal and external sales and information seminars, workshops, and other presentations that promote department products and services. Attend meetings promoting specific products and services, participate in local industry organizational boards and committees where applicable, and cultivate referral sources to enhance Fulton Financial Corporation’s reputation as a trusted provider of department‑specific services. Mentor, guide, and train lower‑level officers in sales management and relationship building. Maintain open, direct and continuing communication with relationship managers, credit managers, branch personnel, and other colleagues within the affiliate banks. Provide necessary support to divisions in meeting annual sales goals. Attend appropriate sales meetings, provide training to associates in all aspects of department products and services, coordinate joint prospecting and calling with the market team, and periodically update local division management on sales activities and progress. Complete monthly sales administrative duties and regularly update the Fulton Financial Corporation customer relationship management platform documenting sales calls, pending opportunities and closed sales. Submit expense reports on a timely basis according to Fulton Financial Corporation rules and guidelines. Participate in monthly staff and sales meetings, maintain updated prospect lists, and review monthly customer transactional activity. Perform other job duties as assigned by the manager, including compliance‑related assignments and ensuring compliance training assignments are completed by established due dates. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty Business or equivalent. (Required) Master's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty Business or equivalent. (Preferred) 7 or more years of Sales experience in Treasury Management. (Required) Extensive Sales Experience in the Merchant Industry. (Required) Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $91,000.00 – $151,600.00 annually. The salary range may vary based on geographic location. This role is eligible to participate in a short‑term incentive compensation plan subject to individual and company performance.
