Day-to-day duties include managing the general ledger, supervising month-end and year-end close, and preparing accurate financial statements and reports for leadership. The role also involves budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, as well as monitoring cost accounting and inventory-related financial activities typical in a manufacturing environment. The Controller will implement and maintain internal controls, ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors. This position partners with operations and leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decisions, process improvements, and long-term profitability.Qualifications include a strong foundation in accounting and finance, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and budgeting. Experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing-related financial processes is required. Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, along with advanced skills in spreadsheet and data analysis tools, is necessary. Knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and other internal controls, and regulatory compliance requirements is essential. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop accounting staff, with effective delegation and supervision skills, is required. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy, are needed. Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders, are required. Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, collaborating cross-functionally with operations and leadership, is necessary. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred. Relevant experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership role in manufacturing or industrial settings is required.
