Security Operations Engineer

Job Description Accenture Federal Services is seeking an experienced DOD Security Operations Engineer to support the Joint Staff, CNMF, and CMTs in planning, development, execution, and analysis of full spectrum cyber operations. The Work Monitor and analyze system logs, network traffic, and user behavior to identify potential security threats. Utilize tools such as intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and security information and event management systems to detect security incidents. Conduct thorough investigations after an incident to determine the nature, scope, and impact of the incident. Work with incident response teams to execute necessary actions to contain, mitigate, and remediate confirmed security incidents. Keep up-to-date on the latest threat intelligence, attack trends, and security best practices. Document incidents, investigations, and resolutions to maintain a comprehensive record of security events. Develop and refine enterprise‑level security policies, procedures, and best practices. Here’s what you need Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. Minimum 5 years of experience managing a Security Operations Center. Expertise in GovCloud service providers, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and various impact levels. Strong cybersecurity and technical expertise, including understanding of security protocols, threat landscape, and incident management. Experience with SOC tools and frameworks such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, NIST, and compliance regulations. DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IAM Level III Certification. Bonus points if you have Cyber expertise to coordinate the development, operational acceptance, and training for all cyber operations systems, platforms, and infrastructures in support of CNMF operations. Understanding of cyber operations infrastructure development processes and cycles. Ability to support the operational employment of cyber operations systems, platforms, and infrastructures. Security Clearance Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia is: $126,300—$243,100 USD.
