Job Description As a Custom Protection Officer Site Patrol in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic food and beverage location as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $22.66 / Hour Job Schedule Wednesday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Thursday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Friday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Saturday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑related protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production, warehouse, office, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials where required, and support visitor and/or delivery processing in accordance with location policies. Observe food and beverage location operations for security‑related concerns such as unsecured doors, restricted area access issues, and/or suspicious activity, and report findings promptly. Minimum Requirements Must possess one or more of the following: Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone. Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field. Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies. A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch. Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service. Be at least 21 years of age. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
