Director of Finance And Administration

An established non-profit organization, is seeking a Director of Finance & Administration. This role will partner closely with the Executive and senior leadership to ensure sound financial management, compliance, transparency, and long-term fiscal sustainability. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting, finance, and administrative operations. Lead month-end and year-end close, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Manage annual budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial analysis. Oversee nonprofit fund accounting, including restricted and unrestricted funds. Manage grant accounting and financial reporting for government, foundation, and other funding sources. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, and applicable grant requirements. Coordinate the annual financial statement audit and support preparation of Form 990. Maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures. Prepare financial reports and analysis for the Executive Director, Board, and Finance Committee. Partner with program and operational leaders to monitor budgets and ensure appropriate use of funds. Oversee administrative functions such as HR, benefits, insurance, contracts, and vendor relationships, as applicable. Lead and develop finance and administrative staff while identifying opportunities to improve processes and systems. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA (highly preferred). 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization. Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting, fund accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and grant management. Experience with government and/or foundation grants, audits, and regulatory compliance. Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Experience with accounting/ERP systems and advanced Excel. The successful candidate will bring financial discipline, strategic perspective, and operational leadership to the organization. They will be comfortable moving between high-level financial strategy and hands-on accounting, while serving as a trusted partner to organizational leadership and ensuring the nonprofit has the financial infrastructure, controls, and reporting needed to achieve its mission. #J-18808-Ljbffr SpectrumCareers
