Job Summary:

The CT Scan Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography procedures in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. They support accurate diagnosis and ensure patient safety while providing compassionate care across various patient settings.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Execute diagnostic CT scans according to physician orders and established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment, ensuring optimal image quality.
  
  
• 
  Enforce radiation safety protocols compliant with state regulations to protect patients and staff.
  
  
• 
  Assist in patient preparation, education, and positioning to optimize scan results.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with medical staff to support clinical evaluations and procedures.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to hospital policies and participate in ongoing learning and technology updates.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School with high school diploma.
  
  
• 
  Hold current New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or a limited permit.
  
  
• 
  Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  
  
• 
  Possess valid BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR, or CPR/AED certification.
  
  
• 
  Entry-level candidates with limited experience may apply; skill set determines level assignment.
  
  
• 
  Strong understanding of radiation safety standards and patient care procedures.
