About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to serve as the operational leader and drive the company's performance in partnership with the executive team and board. The COO will be responsible for overseeing branch operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and meeting growth and profitability goals. This role involves establishing and maintaining operational standards, processes, and metrics across multiple locations, as well as fostering a performance-oriented culture. Specific duties include setting an operational baseline, owning the operational P&L, standardizing SOPs, conducting job site audits, and strengthening execution in various markets. The ideal candidate will have a background in operations management within a rapidly growing, multisite, commercial contracting business, with a preference for those with experience in project-based industries. Candidates for the COO position at the company should have a history of building effective cultures and growing similar-sized businesses. Experience in an acquisitive, private equity-backed environment is preferred, as is a strong background in establishing systems, processes, and operational KPIs. The role requires a high-energy, self-motivated individual who is comfortable working in the field and with trade crews. Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a charismatic, inspirational leader with a proven track record of holding people accountable and will be expected to travel extensively. Technological savvy, including experience with field service software, and a background in project management are also key requirements for this role.
