Senior Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer Location: Onsite in Denver, CO W2 only Requirements: 8+ years experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Amazon QuickSight). 8+ years in data engineering (ETL, data transformation, automation). Strong background in AWS services and console navigation. Python and Terraform for automation. Strong analytical skills to interpret AWS billing and usage data. Responsibilities: AWS Cost Optimization & FinOps Analysis Analyze AWS spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities. Work with AWS Cost Intelligence Dashboards to customize and extend their functionality. Interpret AWS billing and usage reports to provide actionable insights. Business Intelligence (BI) Development & Dashboarding Develop, maintain, and enhance BI dashboards in Amazon QuickSight (and potentially Power BI, Tableau). Create new dashboards (50%) and maintain/improve existing dashboards (50%). Generate reports and data visualizations to support FinOps decision-making. Data Engineering & Automation Work with AWS services to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data. Use Python and Terraform to automate data pipelines, infrastructure, and reporting processes. AWS Platform & Console Navigation Navigate AWS environments and services effectively. Leverage AWS tools for data ingestion, storage, and analysis. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with FinOps teams, finance stakeholders, and cloud engineering teams. Communicate insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
