Operating Room Assistant

Operating Room Assistant Under the direct supervision of the Perioperative nurse and the Team Leader, the Operating Room Assistant transports patients, cleans operating rooms, maintains a clean environment, moves equipment, delivers specimens, performs second scrubbing as needed, and assists with other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Transport patients to and from the operating room. Clean and maintain operating rooms and equipment. Deliver specimens to the appropriate location. Assist with second scrubbing as needed. Support the perioperative nursing team and perform tasks as assigned. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Ability to read, understand, and write English. Successful completion of hospital orientation. Successful completion of departmental orientation and training.
