South Bay Adult Home — 33 Cottontail Run, Center Moriches, NY 11934
Terrace at Newark — 208 NY-88, Newark, NY 14513
Pay: $20–$23/hour (based on certification level & experience)
Schedule: Full-time or Part-time | Monday–Friday (daytime/business hours)

You can apply if you meet ONE of these:
Option 1: You currently hold NYCPS or NYCPS-P , OR
Option 2: You have lived experience and are willing to complete the APS (Academy of Peer Services) coursework to earn your NYCPS-P (Provisional)
Note: We are looking for people who are ready to start the APS process soon and stay engaged. We provide support the whole way.
What you’ll do in the role
Provide peer support and encouragement to individuals working on recovery goals
Share lived experience appropriately to inspire hope and motivation
Help people build coping skills and connect to resources
Collaborate with staff and contribute peer perspective
Complete basic documentation (training provided as needed)
Maintain strong boundaries, ethics, and confidentiality
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Lived experience related to mental health recovery, substance use recovery, and/or supporting a loved one
Able to work in person at [FACILITY NAME] in [CITY, NY]
Basic computer/smartphone skills
Ability to complete onboarding requirements (background check, etc.)
