Senior Compliance Engineer Power Electronics

Title: Senior Compliance Engineer - Power Electronics
Location: Camarillo, CA 93012
Salary: $95,000 - $110,000

Founded in the late 1980s we employ roughly 200 people worldwide, with about 120 employees based at our Camarillo facility. We design and produce advanced electronic motion control systems used in robotics, medical devices, aerospace, defense, and industrial automation. At our Camarillo site, we focus on design, testing, and certification of electronic products to meet global safety and regulatory standards. We are seeking a Sr. Compliance Engineer to support product design, testing, and certification. In this role, you will ensure our products meet UL, CE, TUV, and other regulatory requirements by reviewing designs, coordinating with external labs, and performing compliance testing. You will play a key role in releasing safe, reliable products to market.

What You Will Be Doing

• Review BOMs, electrical schematics, and PCB layouts to ensure compliance with agency requirements
• Coordinate with third party agencies and external labs to meet certification schedules
• Perform compliance tests including temperature, Hi Pot, and EMC measurements, and prepare test reports
• Review regulatory documentation associated with our products
• Travel to external labs to support certification testing activities
• Provide compliance feedback and recommendations to design teams

What You Need for This Position

• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
• 3+ years of experience in design, testing, or compliance of industrial electronics
• Experience reviewing BOMs, schematics, and PCB layouts
• Hands on experience performing compliance tests (temperature, Hi Pot, EMC)
• Familiarity with UL, CE, TUV, and related regulatory frameworks
• Understanding of electrical circuits, component behavior, and parasitic interactions
• Knowledge of EMI and EMC suppression techniques across control and power electronics
• Experience with regulatory standards such as UL IEC 61800 5 1, EN 61000 6, IEC 61508
• Experience with UL IEC 60601 for medical devices
• Background in servo drive design, testing, or certification is a plus
