Part-Time Assistant Preschool/Prek Teacher

Skyline Education Preschool is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Preschool/Prek & Aftercare Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This position offers potential for additional hours based on experience and program needs. This position is for the current school year.

Job Details

• Schedule: 1:00-3:30 work with Preschool/PreK students & 3:30-5:00 work with aftercare students
• Job Type: Part-Time
• Pay: Dependent on experience and education

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) credits or an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education
• Experience working with preschool or Pre-K aged children
• Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills
• Passion for early childhood education and child development
• Spanish speaking a plus

Required Certifications & Clearances

• Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Completion of required Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) and DES training (to obtain upon hiring)
  

Daily Responsibilities

• Help Lead teacher plan and implement developmentally appropriate Pre-K lessons and activities
• Plan fun activities with school age children for our aftercare program. 
• Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
• Supervise children at all times and follow all health and safety procedures
• Assist daily classroom routines, including circle time, learning centers, meals, and transitions
  
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and required documentation
• Communicate professionally with families during drop-off and pick-up
• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and school policies

Curriculum & Assessment

• Implement a developmentally appropriate, play-based Preschool curriculum (Frogstreet) aligned with early learning standards
  
• Assist in documenting learning through assessments, anecdotal notes, and portfolios as required
• Use assessment data to guide lesson planning and support individual learning needs
• Partner with families and communicating with parents at the end of the school day.
• Manage Procare App, which allows for parent communication throughout the school day
