Bus Monitor TransportationQualifications: A high school diploma or GED. CPR certification and first aide training are required. This job requires frequent firm grasping, bending/stooping, squatting/crouching, reaching above the shoulder, and lifting 35-45 pounds. This job requires sufficient manual dexterity to operate a two-way radio, door handles, seat belts and safety harnesses, and the ability to assist students in wheelchairs and other assistive devices as they board or exit the school bus.Contract: Days School is In SessionWorking Hours: Usually 8 hours a dayReports To: Director of TransportationEvaluated By: Director of TransportationSupervises: NoneEssential Job Functions:Be familiar with and apply the standards outline in the District School Bus Driver Manual.Be familiar with and execute as necessary approved emergency medical procedures.Assist students as they board and exit the bus and during transit time.Supervise student behavior in order to maintain discipline and order on the bus.Complete student/rider count as scheduled.Utilize all safety precautions when assisting students to board and exit the bus.Utilize all safety precautions when operating the wheelchair-lift device.Understand and be able to operate the vehicle two-way radio unit.After bus route check that all students have exited the bus. Use the "flag-out" procedure outlined in the School Bus Driver Manual.Perform other duties as assigned. Bartlesville Independent School District
