Registered Nurse - Post-Operative/Oncology/Tele

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with weekends scheduled as needed.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Post-Operative/Oncology/Tele unit. The RN will provide exceptional care for a diverse patient population, including general MedSurg patients, post-operative cases, and oncology patients with complications.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize critical thinking and clinical skills to manage patient care effectively.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including chemotherapy.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and vital signs; ability to read strips is essential.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation using the EPIC charting system.
• Manage and titrate Heparin drips as required.
• Provide routine care for patients, including assistance with daily living activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN license is required.
• BLS certification is required; ONS/ONCC (Chemotherapy Biotherapy) certification is a plus.
• Experience with oncology patients and post-operative care is essential.
• Must be comfortable taking on occasional psychiatric patients as needed.
• Experience with PleurX chest tubes and chest tube management is highly desired.
