Plant Maintenance TechnicianJob OverviewThe Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the rock screening plant and heavy equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, improving equipment performance, and supporting overall plant operations. The position may also be required to report to other company sites as needed to provide coverage and support operations.Locations in Montgomery, Clanton, and surrounding areas.BenefitsWe invest in our employees by offering a strong and well-rounded benefits package:Health & Wellness Coverage – Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plansLife Insurance – Company-paid life insurance with options for additional coverage401(k) with Employer Match – Helping you plan and build for your futurePaid Time Off That Grows With You – PTO increases based on your length of serviceSupplemental Insurance Options – Affordable access to accident, disability, hospital, critical illness, and additional life coverageResponsibilitiesFollow all company safety policies and procedures at all timesPerform routine maintenance and repairs on the rock screening plant and heavy equipmentMonitor operating temperatures and performance of components including bearings, motors, gearboxes, and pumpsInspect and adjust belt tension on V-belts and conveyor systemsMaintain proper screen tension and replace screens as neededRepair and replace rubber skirting and other wear componentsInspect, adjust, and maintain pulleys, rollers, idlers, bearings, and shaftsConduct daily equipment inspections and accurately document findingsEnsure proper greasing of all equipment and componentsCollaborate with management to plan and schedule preventative maintenanceIdentify required parts and materials in advance and coordinate with the appropriate team to ensure timely ordering and availability for scheduled maintenance; verify all parts, tools, and materials are on-site and ready the day prior to maintenanceInspect, monitor, and maintain water pumps and water levels to ensure proper function, prevent downtime, and support continuous plant operationsTroubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues as neededPerform welding and fabrication tasks when requiredPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsMust be 18 years of age or olderExperience in plant maintenance and heavy equipment maintenance requiredAbility to operate heavy equipmentBasic electrical troubleshooting experience preferredWelding and fabrication skills requiredStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a teamWillingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as neededPhysical QualificationsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionallyFrequent bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and climbingGood hand-eye coordination for operating equipment controlsGood vision, including depth perception, to assess distances and hazardsAbility to hear instructions and equipment operation sounds #J-18808-Ljbffr
