Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (0700–1930); additional shift options available (1100–2330, 2300–0700) | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit serving orthopedic trauma, vascular, urology, neuro-spine, OB/GYN oncology, and acute medical populations
• Titrate drips including heparin and occasionally nitroglycerin, bivalirudin, Cardizem, and insulin per prescribed nomogramManage wound dressing changes, continuous bladder irrigation, and post-operative care for a variety of surgical diagnoses
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, nursing assistants, and respiratory therapy to deliver coordinated patient care
• Assume expanded responsibilities for vital signs and ADLs during evening and overnight hours in coordination with CNA staffing model
• Float to other adult medical/surgical nursing units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1–2 years of acute care nursing experience
• Ability to titrate IV drips following a prescribed nomogram
• Willingness to work every other weekend and every other holiday

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with orthopedic, vascular, urological, or neuro-spine patient populations
• Familiarity with CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy (ventilator experience not required)
• Comfort working within a block scheduling environment
