Salary: $17.00/Hr

Hours: Monday through Friday. 5am-1:30pm. Every other weekend is required. When working weekends, associates will still have two days off during the week.

Dress code : Black pants. Tshirt. Close toed shoes. No rips, holes, tears, or anything offensive.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Accurately prepares, holds, and serves food to residents, family, visitors and staff while demonstrating excellent customer service skills. Ensure transactions are logged into the computer correctly and sales are recorded with no fiscal errors to the cash drawers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares high quality food using standardized recipes and procedures that follow food safety regulations. Maintains the safety of foods by adhering to food safety standards and by accurately labeling and dating items.

• Properly stores, serves, holds and discards food according to HACCP procedures. Maintains sanitary conditions in all areas of the kitchen.

• Garnishes, merchandise, rotates and restocks food items daily.

• Posts daily menus and specials with appropriate corresponding prices in a timely manner.

• Demonstrates knowledge of menu items, prices and portion sizes. Knows the food items being served and can correctly answer customer questions upon request.

• Processes customer transactions in an accurate, timely and courteous manner while keeping the traffic flow moving quickly through the station.

• Displays a welcoming and patient attitude with all customers. Resolves customer concerns in a calm, polite manner. Contact the supervisor for assistance when appropriate.

• Interacts with customers and others in a courteous, helpful manner especially in times of increased activity or shifting priorities. It is flexible in the performance of duties to meet customer needs.

• Performs all register operations including entering sales, printing meal plan transactions, credit card transactions and calculating weight scale prices with efficiency and accuracy.

• Follows established cash handling procedures including verifying cash banks before and after all shifts, filling out all required areas of cash reconciliation sheet and signing cash reconciliation sheets daily. Ensures cash reconciliation is consistently within the established dollar limit.

• Uses mechanical equipment in accordance with safety rules and regulations. Recognizes safety as an important job responsibility. Follows all Albright safety protocols and policies/procedures

• Cleans and sanitizes utensils, equipment and tables according to regulatory standards. Consistently uses own initiative to keep work area and equipment clean and free of clutter.

• Completes daily sanitation checklist and stocking list, documents temperatures of food and equipment, and checks out with cook/supervisor before clocking out.

• Maintains a clean and well-groomed appearance and adheres to established dress code policy.

• Consistently demonstrates self-direction to carry out work assignments properly after instructions have been given

• Advises the Supervisor of any potential or actual problem which may jeopardize Normandie Ridge.

• Maintains a courteous, professional relationship with all other organization staff.

• Recognizes confidential matters and does not divulge confidential information or material to anyone not authorized to receive such information.

• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. High school graduate or equivalent in training and experience.

2. One year's experience in related fields.

3. Ability to supervise, plan and organize your own work.

4. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

5. Ability to read, speak and write in English.

6. Demonstrates a good knowledge of food service, sanitation and safety.

7. Must be able to stand, bend, push, pull, reach, move and exert well-paced mobility for extended periods of time, and lift to 50 pounds (meats, flour, pots, pans, cartons of canned goods) and push/pull up to 250 pounds.

8. Demonstrates genuine concern for the needs of the customer.
