Telecommunications Manager
The major duties of the Telecommunications Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Managing, coordinating, and administrating operations of a communications center
- Direct supervision of public safety dispatch supervisors and public safety dispatchers
- Preparing the annual division budget
- Establishing performance standards
- Reviewing work performed and taking necessary corrective actions
- Participates in regional and national public safety communication organizations and initiatives
- Recruitment and hiring of subordinate positions (Dispatch Supervisor and Dispatcher)
