Sunny Valley Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our remote team in Haverford, Pennsylvania. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 annually, and provides a unique opportunity to support individuals in a Detox Center setting.

Key Responsibilities

As an LCSW at Sunny Valley, you will play a crucial role in our patients' recovery by:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine individual counseling needs and identifying substance abuse diagnoses based on DSM criteria.
• Developing tailored treatment plans that encompass substance abuse counseling components and addressing patient-specific needs.
• Creating discharge and continuum of care plans to ensure seamless transitions between different levels of care.
• Documenting all counseling sessions, assessments, and service activities accurately in the clinical records, maintaining high standards of compliance and confidentiality.
• Managing your client caseload effectively, including regular updates through case management protocols and treatment planning.
• Coordinating with family members and other support systems to facilitate comprehensive care and inclusion in the therapeutic process.
• Engaging with external referral sources, such as legal, educational, and occupational contacts, to support clients holistically.
• Utilizing a multi-disciplinary team approach to address crisis situations, providing necessary interventions promptly and effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse range of clients struggling with substance use disorders. Many patients present with co-occurring mental health issues, requiring you to employ culturally competent and individualized treatment approaches. Your role will not only involve therapy sessions but also collaborative efforts to enhance each client’s recovery pathway.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A valid LCSW license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience working in the addiction treatment field with a focus on co-occurring disorders.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on empathetic and effective client interaction.
• Excellent organizational abilities, time management skills, and the capacity to work independently.

Preferred Experience

While not required, the following qualifications will enhance a candidate’s application:

• Experience working in a detox or inpatient treatment setting.
• Familiarity with ASAM criteria for assessing levels of care.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation standards.
