DUTIES

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to maintain and demonstrate flexibility in responding to changing needs. Knowledge of current special education laws and practices. Effective group facilitation skills; ability to work individually with students. Best practices in assessment, service delivery, and response to intervention models. Data‑driven development of IEPs, functional behavior assessments, behavior intervention plans, danger assessments, and crisis intervention. Cooperative and collaborative relationships with colleagues, students, and parents. Team orientation; work with students in whole‑class and small‑group settings. Effective behavior management techniques; counseling group facilitation; case management; crisis intervention.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION

Minimum of 60 graduate semester hours for the preparation of school psychologist. Hold or be eligible to hold a Colorado Department of Education License. Hold appropriate endorsement(s) as school psychologist.

EXPERIENCE

Successful completion of internship in school psychology. Previous teaching experience in subject area and/or level desirable.

STARTING SALARY RANGE

Annual salary schedule based on 1.0 FTE. Work year: 187 contract days. FTE: 1.0.
