Lead Maintenance Technician

Position Summary Lead Electromechanical Technician – First Quality Home Care Products facility, Salt Lake City, UT. Responsibilities Perform day‑to‑day electrical and mechanical support for large industrial machines. Provide leadership, organize work, and perform scheduled preventive maintenance. Respond to equipment downtime by troubleshooting and making necessary repairs. Complete scheduled work orders. Maintain electrical‑mechanical machines in manufacturing facilities. Perform change‑over activities on large mechanical equipment. Carry out repairs on equipment as needed. Coordinate and work with other technicians in daily support of manufacturing equipment. Document actions, parts, and time usage to work orders. Identify, advise, and implement safety and quality improvements. Learn production equipment processes and operations to aid in machine troubleshooting and operation support. Perform basic troubleshooting for electrical problems with single‑phase and three‑phase motors, wiring, and controls. Decipher information from equipment manuals and schematics to troubleshoot various types of equipment malfunctions. Evaluate new technologies for potential application as a new process or modification to existing equipment. Assist engineers, production managers, and technologists in assessing the impact of equipment malfunctions. Support the plant SIM processes. Work with cross‑functional teams. Perform other duties requested by the supervisor as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree in Electronics or Electromechanical Technology certification, or Industrial Mechanic certification preferred. 2–5 years of experience with high‑speed manufacturing equipment. Demonstrated experience in maintaining large industrial machines. Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs for extended periods (up to 12 hours). Ability to climb on and around equipment, including bending, stooping, standing, walking, crawling, twisting, kneeling, and reaching. Ability to see, hear, and visually and audibly troubleshoot equipment, acknowledge alarms, and perform inspections. Ability to sustain repetitive movement of the upper and lower extremities. Ability to grip, grasp, push, and pull with varying degrees of force. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly. Ability to wear appropriate PPE, including hearing protection, ANSI safety shoes, safety glasses, respirators, and all other required PPE. Benefits Competitive base salary and bonus opportunities.
