Therapist - Physical Therapist

Job Summary:

Provides patient-focused physical therapy services to evaluate, develop, and implement treatment plans in accordance with medical standards and physician directives. Responsible for supervising aides and assistants while delivering quality care to improve patient function and mobility.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Evaluate patients skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular functions through formal and informal assessments.
  
  
• 
  Develop goal-specific treatment plans based on assessment outcomes and patient tolerance.
  
  
• 
  Submit written treatment regimens for physician approval, updating the plan of care as patient conditions evolve.
  
  
• 
  Coordinate treatment schedules with patients, families, and clinical staff, ensuring appropriate frequency and duration.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding their condition, treatment options, prognosis, and self-care strategies.
  
  
• 
  Co-sign verbal treatment orders from physical therapist assistants as needed.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current PT license valid in Michigan, verified via LARA and/or Nursys.
  
  
• 
  Minimum one year of relevant outpatient or acute care physical therapy experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrates proficiency in working with diverse patient populations and clinical settings.
  
  
• 
  Holds an active American Heart Association BLS certification.
  
  
• 
  Successfully completes skills checklist pertinent to physical therapy practice within the past year.
  
  
• 
  Submits two supervisory reference forms from recent employment.
