CVICU Registered Nurse - 12 Hour Nights

We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. This is a critical care position focusing on patients who have undergone cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries, as well as those requiring ECMO, LVAD, or heart transplants. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the CVICU setting, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Titrate all critical care drips including inotropes and sedation as required.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including Intensivists and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS (CCRN preferred).
• Previous experience in a CVICU setting with a focus on critically ill patients.
• Experience with CRRT is required.
• Ability to read ECG strips and recognize changes.

Schedule

This position requires availability for 12-hour night shifts, along with weekends and holidays as scheduled. Minimum weekend schedule includes three "S" days and one Friday and Monday, with potential floating to other ICU or step-down units as needed.
