About This Role The RN First Assistant at Cooley Dickinson Hospital is responsible for assisting the surgeon in a lead role throughout the operative procedure, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, Operating Room. This position is ideal for experienced RNs looking to expand their skills in a surgical setting. Highlights Pay: $43.38 - $74.94/Hourly Location: Northampton, MA Facility: Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Inc. Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift, includes rotating on-call requirement What You'll Do Assist the surgeon in a lead role until the conclusion of the operative procedure. Participate in the RN First Assisting training program if seeking certification. Ensure adherence to organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Requirements Education Graduate of an approved School of Nursing required. Experience Five (5) years diversified peri-operative nursing experience with both scrubbing and circulating proficiency required. Licenses & Certifications Current RN License in Massachusetts required. Completion of an RN First Assisting course conforming to AORN Core Curriculum required. Current American Heart Association BLS certification required. ACLS and CNOR certifications required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
