Shipping Logistics Specialist

Our client, an Industrial Manufacturer is seeking a Shipping Logistics Specialist t o join their team. As a Shipping Logistics Specialist, you will be part of the logistics department supporting the shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Shipping Logistics Specialist

Location: Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: $19.40

Shift: Days 8:00am to 4:30pm. No weekends

What's the Job?

• Process incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying contents and resolving discrepancies
• Prepare shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and condition, unload and document received goods
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve logistics issues and provide excellent customer service
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• + 2 years of experience proven experience as a logistics clerk or in a similar role in an industrial environment
• Experience in logistics software (e.g., Oracle) and MS Office (especially Excel)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to use (or learn to use) a forklift and familiarity with shipping and receiving documentation
