High School Teacher

Newport Independent Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team at the Newport Regional School (Juvenile Detention Center). As a teacher at the detention center, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young students who are in need of guidance and support. Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles and abilities Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly Build positive relationships with students Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and attendance Qualifications Kentucky Middle Grades or Secondary Education Certification Experience teaching in a juvenile detention center or similar setting preferred Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities Based on the adopted salary schedule of the Newport Board of Education #J-18808-Ljbffr Newport Independent Schools
