Job Description
Viridian Staffing's Client is seeking a skilled Machinist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and drill presses, to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in machining techniques and ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints will be vital in ensuring the accuracy and quality of the final products.

The Machinist's responsibilities encompass material handling, saw work, material preparation, deburring, CNC operation, basic setup and programming, part inspection, part washing, job and process documentation, assisting with workflow and planning, and managing recycling. This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 80 lbs, bend, and move materials and equipment.

Forklift certification is highly desirable but not required.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a machinist, a strong understanding of machining processes, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. You should have exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills are a must, as you will collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to optimize production processes. The ability to lift up to 80 lbs, handle materials, and manage production tasks effectively is essential. Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
