Bindery Operator Apprentice

This is a full-time position with regular progression increases and shift differential. Selected candidates will be enrolled in the Bindery Apprentice Training program, where they are paired with a trainer and learn how to set up and operate a designated piece of bindery equipment.

Responsibilities include working alongside the operator, assisting with paper loading and boxing product, learning to set up and maintain major or complex binding equipment, reading job tickets, monitoring equipment during operations, assisting with daily maintenance duties, and applying working knowledge to assist in the set-up of more complicated binding machinery.

The rate of pay for this role at the noted RRD location is $18/hour + $2 shift differential. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
