Small Vehicle Driver

Job Summary: To provide safe and efficient transportation so each student enjoys the fullest possible advantage from the District's curriculum and extra curriculum programs.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age
• Process a valid driver's license
• Possess a current DOT physical or Muitfunction/ Small Vehicle Operatiors Medical Information Form
• Have motor vehicle record check
• Complete an annual test
• Pass a driving performance test
• Perform all essential functions of the position

Reports to: Transportation Director

Performance Responsibilities:

• Performs daily pre and post-trip inspection on bus or van
• Maintains bus cleanliness
• Maintains fluid levels
• Reports unsafe vehicle conditions
• Completes, maintains and turns in paperwork
• Obeys all traffic laws
• Drives bus routes according to stop locations and schedules
• Pick up and discharges students only at authorized stops
• Disciplines students fairly and consistently
• Successfully works with staff, students and the public in a positive manner
• Dresses in a professional and clean manner
• Reports all accidents and completes required reports
• Performs first aid and CPR functions as necessary in emergency situations
• Other duties which may be assigned as needed
