Their passion for their work clearly shows in the quality of our designs.Here are a few facts about our Building Design Group:Over 90% of our customers return to the firm with new projects, which is a sign of our unwavering commitment to client services.We use the latest in engineering consulting tools, from analysis software to computer-aided drafting and Building Information Modeling (BIM).We recognize the importance of ‘Green’ building practices and members of our staff are LEED AP certified.ResponsibilitiesAs our Lead Structural Engineer, you will be hands-on with technical design of buildings projects, oversee multiple projects simultaneously including budgeting, scheduling, and client management & communication, and attend project sites and client meetings.Collaborate with teams of engineers and architects to complete project deliverables.Coordinate design work with other engineering and architectural disciplines.Meet client expectations for budget and schedule while delivering a quality product.Increase proficiency in relevant design, modeling, and analysis software applications such as Revit, ETABS, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, Enercalc, Excel, SteelSmart, and Simpson CFS Designer.Increase your knowledge of local codes and industry standards.Assist with budget estimates and write-ups for proposals.Join us and take charge of your career, creating your own growth while building a sustainable legacy for generations to come.QualificationsWe are seeking the following experience and qualifications:B.S. Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred.Professional Engineering (PE) license.8+ years of relevant structural engineering design experience (Concrete, Steel, Masonry, Wood).Knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices specific to high-seismic regions.Technical skills: Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, Enercalc, Excel).Experience assembling calculation packages for submittal to agencies (DSA and HCAI a plus).Revit experience including modeling and producing construction drawings is preferred.Experience with seismic evaluations and retrofits per ASCE 41 a plus.NV5 provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
