Deli Supervisor – Save More Food Market

Location: Minocqua, WI
Position: Full-Time
Department: Deli

Save More Food Market is looking for a dependable, energetic Deli Supervisor to help lead the daily operation of our deli department. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working alongside a team, providing excellent customer service, maintaining high food-quality standards, and keeping a busy fresh department organized and running smoothly.

The Deli Supervisor will work closely with the Deli Manager to provide day-to-day direction to the team and ensure our customers receive the quality, freshness, selection, and service they expect from Save More.

• Provide hands-on leadership and direction to deli team members throughout the shift
• Help coordinate daily production, food preparation, stocking, cleaning, and customer service
• Ensure deli cases, hot foods, grab-and-go items, and service areas remain full, fresh, clean, and appealing
• Maintain high standards for food quality, freshness, presentation, and portion control
• Ensure proper food safety, sanitation, temperature, dating, and rotation procedures are followed
• Train and coach employees on department procedures and customer-service expectations
• Help organize workflow and assign responsibilities based on business needs
• Monitor product levels and communicate production and ordering needs to department leadership
• Help control shrink and waste through proper production planning, rotation, and product handling
• Assist with inventory, merchandising, promotions, and seasonal programs
• Respond to customer questions and concerns and help create a positive shopping experience
• Help maintain department standards during the Deli Manager's absence
• Work alongside the team wherever needed to get the job done

• Previous deli, food-service, restaurant, grocery, or retail experience preferred
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience is a plus
• Strong customer-service and communication skills
• Ability to coach employees and hold the team accountable to department standards
• Strong organization and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
• Dependable and willing to work as part of the team
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of a grocery deli environment
