Chief Business Officer – Information Technology

Under the general direction of the Vice President for Information Technology, the Chief Business Officer – Information Technology is accountable for managing the IT budget with financial transparency. Directs the strategic and operational financial planning processes for the IT organization while creating an understanding of the complexities of IT cost structures and investment strategies. Provides assistance to the Vice President for Information Technology on the development and execution of a college-wide Strategic Technology Plan; Assists IT unit leaders with the preparation of business plans for alignment with college strategic goals and the establishment of clear success measures as well as performance benchmarks; Provides support to identify and assess strategic issues, facilitate strategic discussion, and coordinate strategic initiatives.

The position will manage vendor relationships for the IT enterprise while overseeing the contractual obligations and invoicing. Works closely with the Procurement and Legal Departments to ensure policies and procedures are properly followed.

Leads the IT Department in all levels of reporting such SLA's, System Uptime Benchmarks, Financial Accounting, and Budget Management. Will provide quarterly reporting of all IT Metrics and assist the Vice President of Information Technology in producing the yearly IT Progress Report.
