Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Optometrist role based in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. The Optometrist will perform comprehensive eye examinations, prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses, and diagnose and manage common ocular diseases and conditions. Daily responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, using diagnostic equipment, documenting findings in the medical record, and educating patients on eye health, treatment options, and preventive care. The role also involves coordinating care with other eye care professionals, supporting practice workflows, and maintaining high standards of clinical quality and patient experience. Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution and current, unrestricted optometry license (or eligibility) in the state of Texas. Strong clinical skills in comprehensive eye exams, refraction, contact lens fitting, and diagnosis and management of common ocular conditions. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and standard optometric diagnostic equipment (e.g., autorefractors, tonometers, retinal imaging systems). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain clinical findings and treatment plans in clear, patient-friendly language. Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, attention to detail, and adherence to clinical and regulatory standards. Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff in a fast-paced practice environment. Prior experience in a private practice or medical eye care setting is preferred but not required; residency training in primary care or ocular disease is a plus.
