The section also provides support to the WIM Diverse Segments group, including WIM referral activity.Trust Services Trust advisors discuss the needs of HNW and UHNW clients and provide personalized advice and wealth and asset management services, including:Personal trust services.Estate services.Philanthropic services.Closely held asset management.Real estate and loan asset management.Oil, gas and mineral management.Legacy trust services.Special needs trust services.Managed Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA)About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Special Needs Trust Officer (Senior Fiduciary Specialist) in Wells Fargo Trust as part of Wealth and Investment Management.In this role, you will:Administer Special Needs Trusts as part of a team for the benefit of beneficiaries with varying degrees of disability and/or incapacityWork with trust partners, attorneys, caseworkers, and other professionals to ensure that Special Needs Trusts are administered in conformity with trust provisions, bank policies, Social Security regulations, Medicaid regulations, and other legal requirementsWork with families of disabled individuals and field trust officers to determine needs of beneficiaries and appropriate distributions from trustsAdminister trusts in a manner that prevents disqualification of beneficiaries from SSI/Medicaid and other means tested government benefit programsWork with a variety of professionals, including attorneys, tax professionals, social workers, case managers, and health care professionals to develop and offer solutions to problems facing disabled individuals and their familiesIdentify risk issues on Special Needs Trust accounts, and work to resolve such issuesCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsInteract with internal and external customersReceive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirementsEngage clients, advisors, and internal partners to deliver a high-touch client experience within a strong risk management frameworkIndependently resolve moderately complex issues while leveraging solid knowledge of internal policies and procedures including, but not limited to, distributions, account maintenance, account opening and closing, Know Your Client (KYC) requirements, annual account reviews, and management of overdraftsIdentify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and control developmentServe as a subject-matter expert on fiduciary administration for moderately complex accounts, and provide guidance on interpreting governing instruments, applying fiduciary principles, and ensuring compliance with prudent investing standardsServe as a peer mentor to actively train and mentor lower-level staffParticipate in marketing and development initiatives, in conjunction with team leadersRequired Qualifications:4+ years of Fiduciary Products experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience and educationDesired Qualifications:Experience administering Special Needs TrustsJ.D. and/or CTFA, Bachelor preferredKnowledge of Medicaid/Medicare and Social Security benefit programsExperience interacting or communicating with trust beneficiaries, and/or with families of disabled individualsKnowledge and understanding of estate, trust, or fiduciary administrationAbility to read and interpret legal documentsAbility to review trust agreement documents and ensure bank complianceDemonstrate a high level of organizational skills, including time and priority managementAbility to work effectively within a team and build strong working relationships across business channels and at all levels of management.Collaborate effectively with relationship team members, client's advisors and other colleagues.Solutions-oriented and able to operate within a fast-paced environment.Strong conflict resolution skills.Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills.Intermediate Microsoft Office skillsJob Expectations:This position offers a hybrid work scheduleThis position is not eligible for Visa sponsorshipPosting End Date: 2 Aug 2026*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.We Value Equal OpportunityWells Fargo is an equal opportunity employer.
