Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients in the operating room setting. Ensures patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes through effective coordination and clinical expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients preoperatively to determine their health status and readiness for surgery.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans tailored to surgical procedures.
• Operate and monitor surgical equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth surgical procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
• Document patient care activities, intraoperative events, and post-operative instructions accurately.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years recent experience working in an operating room environment.
• Current BLS certification from an approved provider.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterilization techniques, and patient safety standards.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
