Program Analyst (Informatics)

Summary This position is a full performance non-supervisory role in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) dedicated to advancing the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of health care by implementing new technologies. The incumbent collaborates to integrate clinical and information processes systemwide within VHA. The role requires expertise or training in health science, allied scientific fields, or health informatics. Qualifications Applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date, 07/20/2026. For a GS‑12 position, current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at GS‑11 (or lower grade) within the past 52 weeks. An SF‑50 demonstrating time‑in‑grade eligibility must be submitted; if the most recent SF‑50 does not show one‑year time‑in‑grade, an additional SF‑50 is required. Specialized experience: one year of experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS‑11) in the normal line of progression for the occupation. Examples include: Consulting, advising, and educating employees on improving health care operations. Managing multiple competing priorities and resolving conflicts. Developing or overseeing the development of information related to patient care. Working closely with employees across multiple organizations. Competencies: accountability, attention to detail, customer service, decision making, flexibility, influencing/negotiating, integrity/honesty, interpersonal skills, learning, reading comprehension, reasoning, self‑management, stress tolerance, teamwork. Experience includes paid, volunteer, or unpaid service; a full year of work is considered 35–40 hours per week. Part‑time experience is credited based on actual hours spent. Physical requirements: largely sedentary work with periods of walking, standing, bending, or climbing; may carry light items (books, instruments, laptops).
