Accountant

Accountant Position Overview Our client, a nationally recognized leader in the arts, is seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Accountant with experience to join their amazing accounting and finance team. The Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, reimbursements, and payments. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable transactions accurately and detailed. Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts, verify coding, and obtain approval for payment. Prepare and perform check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions in Sage Intacct. Assist with month‑end closing activities related to accounts payable. Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships with vendors. Assist with audits as necessary and provide documentation as required. Filing previous fiscal year paperwork and labeling. Maintain vendor information, including W‑9s, as needed for year‑end 1099 issuance. Update and maintain authorized vendor list. Prepare 1099s at year end. Qualifications An Accounting degree. 5 plus years of experience plus in accounts payable and general accounting. Experience in Sage Intacct software. Attention to detail and accuracy in processing invoices and payments. Strong organizational and time management skills.
