This hands-on role is ideal for an accomplished life underwriter with extensive experience handling large and high-net-worth cases, complex underwriting scenarios, and foreign national business, while contributing to underwriting excellence.We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:Large Case Underwriting experience with a minimum of $10 million dollar approval authoritySignificant experience with High Net Worth, Complex cases and foreign national businessVast knowledge of industry developments, regulatory changes and medical advances that may impact underwriting decisionsStrong, established relationships across the life underwriting communityPartner with Medical staff and underwriting colleagues as appropriate, and ensuring sound and consistent application of underwriting philosophy and guidelinesOur company operates under a hybrid work model, with the expectation that employees will work from the office three days per week every week. This role can be placed in any of the above listed Swiss Re office locations on the East Coast and Central region.Please note that this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship/visa transfers/visa extension.For Armonk, NY, New York, NY, and Washington DC, the estimated base salary range for this position is $136,000 to $204,000, and for Chicago, IL, Plano, TX, Fort Wayne, IN, Kansas City, MO, Schaumburg, IL, Alpharetta, GA, and Windsor, CT, the range $128,000 to $192,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
