Deputy Court ClerkThe Deputy Court Clerks provides complex court support for all case types within the court system requiring a high level of responsibility to the court including records management and customer service. This position captures an objective record of events in order to facilitate the judicial process.Training and Professional Experience Qualifications:Associate degree in business administration, paralegal, or related field OR a high school diploma or GED plus two years working in a clerk of courts office including CCAP case management.Three (3) years of experience in a progressively responsible administrative support role.Appointment will be conditional upon successful completion of a criminal background check.Must have valid driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and access to private transportation for work-related duties.Must possess and maintain personal automobile insurance in the amount of $100,000/$300,000.Desired Training and Professional Experience Qualifications:Experience in a legal or court-related environment, or a Clerk of Courts office, preferably as a Legal Specialist II or Deputy Court Clerk.Post-secondary coursework in criminal justice, legal, business, or related curriculum.Experience in a large office setting.Training using the State of Wisconsin Consolidated Court Automation Program (CCAP) software.Eau Claire County is not only a great place to work, but has many exciting benefits!Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual is based on years of service with the County, starting at 6.4 hours accruing each pay period (20.8 days per year), with the maximum accrual rate of 35.75 days per year. All new hires at Eau Claire County receive 40 hours of front-loaded PTO upon hire, which they may begin using immediately. *Manager PTO accrual available upon request*Holidays: Eleven paid holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a Spring Holiday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve Day.Retirement: The County provides a retirement account in Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). Employees pay one-half of the actuarially required contributions.
