Mid-Level Litigation AssociateDirect Counsel represents a prestigious law firm seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join its New York office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 5–7 years of commercial litigation experience who is looking to work on sophisticated litigation matters within a collaborative and fast-paced legal environment.The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling all phases of general commercial litigation, including drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, and appearing in New York State and federal courts. Candidates with large law firm experience and exposure to real estate or finance-related disputes are strongly encouraged to apply.Responsibilities:Handle general commercial litigation matters through all stages of litigationDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and discovery responsesConduct legal research and develop litigation strategyTake and defend fact and expert witness depositionsDraft and argue substantive and procedural motionsManage discovery, case deadlines, and court filings in state and federal courtCommunicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal legal teamsAssist with trial preparation and litigation case managementQualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school5–7 years of general commercial litigation experienceExperience practicing in New York State and federal courtsStrong experience drafting and responding to pleadings and discoveryExperience drafting and arguing motionsExperience taking and defending depositions, including expert depositionsExperience with real estate and finance-related litigation matters preferredTrial experience is a plus, but not requiredLarge law firm experience strongly preferredStrong academic credentials and excellent research and writing skillsLicensed and in good standing to practice law in the State of New YorkSkills & Competencies:Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple litigation matters simultaneouslyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentCompensation & Benefits:Salary range: $250,000 – $280,000 annuallyCompensation based on experience, qualifications, and market factorsComprehensive benefits package and professional development opportunitiesJob Type: Full-Time | Onsite
