Responsibilities include processing customer bills and insurance claims in an accurate and timely manner, assisting with all daily and month-end billing functions, procedures, and reporting, and providing excellent customer service to patients, caregivers, medical providers, and insurance carriers.

Attributes required include a strong work ethic/integrity, relational skills, strategy and planning, problem-solving, and a team-oriented approach.

Essential job functions include researching and establishing patient eligibility coverage with insurance providers, maintaining and auditing patient files, providing assistance and timely response to billing customer inquiries, processing patient payments, and following all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.

Education and/or certifications required include a high school diploma or GED, pharmacy technician license/certification/registration per state requirements, and national certification preferred.

Skills and qualifications include 1+ years of related experience, advanced computer skills, ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines, great attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The work environment is typically low to moderate noise, requires desk work in an office environment, and ability to work flexible hours.
