We offer you a chance to make a lasting difference in your community.As a key member of our child care team, the Group Leader is responsible for creating a safe, fun and positive atmosphere that promotes member engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*** Uphold the mission of the YMCA, and demonstrate behaviors that reflect a determined, nurturing, genuine, hopeful, and welcoming nature.* Possess the willingness of 100% COMMITMENT in actively engaging with school-age children both indoors and outdoors and have FUN!* Lead group activities and assist with homework* Maintains positive relationships with the members, participants and other staff* Knows, understands, and consistently applies all safety rules* Attends all trainings and staff meetings as assigned* Completes required abuse risk management training. Adheres to policies and procedures in managing high-risk activities and appropriate boundaries of supervision. Reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations to supervisor. Follows mandated abuse reporting requirements to authorities.* Complete free CPR and First Aid certification within the first 90 days of hire.**WORK ENVIRONMENT:*** Climbing, sitting, standing, pushing, walking, kneeling, and stooping* Tolerate heat and humidity for extended periods of time* Exposure to swimming pools* Noise level- High* Ability to communicate verbally, including projecting your voice across a distance in normal & loud situations.* Lifting up to 50lbs**SCHEDULE:** Monday-Friday 6:30am-8:30am and 2:00pm-6pm## Qualifications**POSITION REQUIREMENTS:*** PASSION FOR WORKING WITH SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN!!* Minimum age - 18 years old* Team player with personal commitment to YMCA Mission, Philosophy & Character Development Values.* Previous child care or group work experience preferred.* Must be enrolled in High School or possess a High School Diploma or an equivalent. #J-18808-Ljbffr YMCA Camp Piomingo
