The MDS Nurse Coordinator (RN) is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments in accordance with:RAI Guidelines,CMS regulations,OBRA requirements,Medicare and payer guidelines,and state/federal compliance standards.This role collaborates closely with Nursing, Therapy, Social Work, Dietary, Activities, Business Office, and facility leadership to ensure accurate assessment coding reflective of resident acuity and services provided.QualificationsMDS Coordinator (RN) Qualifications:RN license in the state of New York.Prior MDS Coordinator / RNAC experience preferredLong-Term Care and Skilled Nursing experience preferredExperience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferredKnowledge of RAI process, Medicare, OBRA, and reimbursement guidelinesStrong organizational and communication skillsThis position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
