Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc., is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our role of Regional Tech Services Manager for the South Division. The role involves managing a team of Technical Service Managers. The Regional Technical Manager provides technical assistance and training on Daikin HVAC systems and related products/brands to both our internal and external customers. The individual in this role will engage daily with their direct reports, manufacturing, technical services, warranty, engineering, manufacturers' representatives, distributors, and contractors in the market who are supporting/installing Daikin HVAC products.

Position responsibilities may include:

• Manage service technician team and coordinate their training and suggestions for improvements and ideas with other divisions of the company.
• Ensure that the team is working within the established processes, keep the processes up to date, improve process efficiency, and provide training and execution of all related processes.
• Manage workload and performance of RTM’s.
• Work closely with RM’s and ROM’s to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Allocate resources to address customer issues, conduct field visits, resolve technical concerns, address presale or application questions and conduct targeted and effective dealer training.
• Provide input on training materials for sessions. 
• Be responsible for a high quality, cost-efficient and on time service operation (internal and external).
• Ensure the availability and quality of communications with our customers.
• Participate in additional projects/activities as needed

Nature and Scope:

• Ensures work is aligned with the Director’s expectations, goals, and vision 
• Accountable for implementation of policies, processes, and procedures for short-term results
• Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from Senior Manager/Director
• Works on difficult to moderately complex issues and projects 
• Provides guidance and training to subordinates
• Has authority to hire, recommend pay, establish performance and recommend for termination
• Level of signing authority established by company policy/guidelines

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent supervisory skills.
• Communication skills both written and verbal.
• Customer service skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Formal Product Training.
• HVAC technical knowledge.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, customer support aptitude, mechanical and electrical ability, and excellent communication skills.
• Previous proven leadership skills demonstrating Independent judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to work in a fast moving environment. 
• Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.

Experience:

• 8 years of Tech services experience 
• 5 years in a leadership role

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
