What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Family Peer Recovery Coach works to engage family members and the prospective participant with the goal of fostering a willingness to accept available services. The Family Coach provides information, education, and resources to family of participants to enable them to better support their loved one in their goals and/or recovery plan, whether it be while person is living independently or in the family home. The Family Peer Recovery Coach provides direct support and case management services to assigned family members and participants and works closely with participants and their families to ensure that their needs are expressed and that they have a "voice" in their recovery plan. In conjunction with the clinical team, the Family Peer Recovery Coach completes program intakes/assessments, facilitates groups, promotes engagement and provision of peer and family support services; and serves as an advocate for the participant and family for services as a point of interaction between participant's family and the program.

Shifts Available: Full-Time | AM | Shifts: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM | Days: Monday - Friday

Expected starting wage range is $21.00 - $22.52. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

• Bachelor's Degree or at least two (2) years' experience in a mental health services environment
• Peer Certification must be obtained prior to hire date and maintained throughout employment California: Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA must be obtained within 120 days of your date of hire and maintained throughout employment. Failure to obtain certification within this period will result in separation with the company.
• At least five (5) years of demonstrated experience as a parent or primary caregiver of a person with behavioral health care needs
• Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
• Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.

About the Program: Home First North FSP is Orange County's Housing Full Service Partnership (FSP) program focused on providing housing-supportive services and behavioral health services to individuals residing in Orange County. Our purpose is to support members in maintaining stable housing, including resolving housing challenges and providing case management and behavioral health-focused services. Our staff creates a supportive environment, including services that are based on individual needs, hopes, and dreams. Home First North FSP members have access to a multidisciplinary team that includes peer specialists, case managers, a psychiatrist, a nurse practitioner, masters-level team leads, and clinicians who have experience in providing housing-supportive services and behavioral health-focused services. Program serves: 1) Residents of Orange County, ages 18 and older, who have been diagnosed with a severe mental illness and 2) Individuals who have been housed and are currently at risk of losing housing in Orange County.
