The Service Manager is responsible for ensuring that our customers are provided with the best service experience possible. Responsibilities and Duties Ensure customer satisfaction is the top priority and that our Machens Hyundai customers receive excellent service and follow up during their service visit Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of the Service Advisors Work with the advisors to ensure proper dispatch of work throughout the shop to our technicians to ensure a consistent and robust flow of work for our technicians Ensure that the customer waiting area is neat, tidy, and organized Ensure that the customer snack/beverage area is stocked Develop and implement strategies to increase service revenue Understand and ensure compliance with Hyundai manufacturer warranty policies and procedures Maintain an excellent relationship with OEM representatives Monitor and control the performance of the department through the use of company reporting, tracking systems, X-Time, and CSI Surveys Ensure that quality service repairs are performed each time to minimize customer comebacks; conduct periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality control Establish excellent working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business Establish harmony and teamwork within the service department and all other dealership departments Work with the sales management team to ensure that new and used vehicles are properly PDI’d and/or reconditioned and ready for immediate sale Ensure that all OEM campaigns are remedied in a timely, business-like timeframe Ensure that the Courtesy Vehicle is clean, professional, and presentable to all customers at all times Ensure that the Service Shop is clean, uncluttered, and safe at all times Performs all other duties associated with the management of a successful Hyundai dealership Workplace and Compliance Joe Machens Hyundai is a Drug-Free workplace.
