Position Summary
The Floor Manager leads us in service at Le Crocodile, and supports our food and beverage program integrally, both operationally and in its growth. This critical role brings together service in the dining room while maintaining the Wythe ethos across the building. As the steward of a strong and growing program, you'll support and mentor a high-performing team from hosts to support staff to servers and bartenders, while creating the backdrop for life's most meaningful moments—from intimate gatherings to milestone celebrations that become part of our guests' personal histories. As part of this role, you will cross-train at Bar Blondeau to develop a comprehensive understanding of both restaurant operations. This training ensures management flexibility and enables you to effectively support leadership and service across both venues as business
needs require. Responsibilities
● Foster a culture of generosity, professionalism, kindness, accountability, and teamwork.
● Lead service on the floor, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining operational excellence.
● Develop a thorough understanding of every front-of-house position and provide hands-on support and training as needed.
● Anticipate the needs of guests and team members, providing guidance and assistance throughout service.
● Partner with managers, chefs, sommeliers, and bartenders to educate and inspire the team on food, beverage, wine, and service standards.
● Train, coach, and mentor front-of-house team members, ensuring they are confident and knowledgeable.
● Support performance management through ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development.
● Build lasting guest relationships by recognizing returning guests, welcoming first-time visitors, and personalizing the dining experience.
● Address guest concerns with professionalism and urgency, partnering with the culinary and service teams to resolve issues effectively.
● Complete end-of-shift responsibilities, including cash handling, tip reconciliation, and verification of operational checklists.
● Partner with the Events team to execute private events and full restaurant buyouts.
● Communicate key service notes, guest feedback, staffing updates, maintenance concerns, and operational observations to fellow managers and leadership.
● Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, food safety, sanitation, and compliance with all Department of Health regulations.
● Support operational needs across both Bar Blondeau and Le Crocodile, adapting to the unique pace and service style of each restaurant.
Qualifications
● 2+ years restaurant management experience.
● Proven track record in team leadership and development.
● Strong financial acumen and business insight.
● Hands on approach with empathetic leadership style.
● Calm presence under pressure and creative problem-solving skills.
● Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods up to 8-9 hours.
