Here, collaboration, inclusivity and shared purpose empowers you to grow your passion, build a rewarding career and contribute to something bigger—helping shape a better energy future for all.Primary PurposeDelivers advanced compensation and benefits support through detailed job evaluations, market pricing, and compliance oversight, providing insights that enhance pay equity and program effectiveness.Duties and ResponsibilitiesConducts job evaluation and market pricing for assigned roles, matches jobs to survey benchmarks, and recommends hiring ranges.Builds salary recommendations that balance external competitiveness with internal equity and budget considerations.Leads complex benefits administration tasks, including retirement plan contribution reconciliation and claim escalations.Designs recurring analytics on pay equity and benefits utilization and presents insights to human resources partners.Interprets and applies federal and state requirements for pay and benefits and updates procedures accordingly.Creates manager toolkits and employee communications that explain pay structures, incentive eligibility, and benefit options.Coordinates survey participation cycles and improves matching rules to enhance data quality.May participate in administration of executive compensation programs, including base salary, annual and long-term incentives, stock plan administration, nonqualified deferred compensation and pension plan administration and/or executive benefits administration.May provide reporting and analyses for preparation of regulatory filings or meetings of the Compensation and Talent Development Committee of Sempra’s Board of Directors.Participates in cross functional projects within Total Rewards.Serves as a subject‑matter resource to payroll, finance, and legal on pay decisions and policy interpretation.Performs other duties as assigned.Job RequirementsEducationRequired:Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.ExperienceRequired:Typically requires 5 years of related experience.Preferred:Additional experience in executive compensation, equity compensation, stock plan administration, deferred compensation plan administration, and/or executive benefits administration.Licenses and CertificationsPreferred:Professional licenses such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP), and/or Certified Equity Professional (CEP).Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesRequired:Ability to independently resolve complex issues involving data validation or modeling assumptions.Ability to synthesize multiple sources of market intelligence to propose data-supported recommendations.Knowledge of compensation design concepts, including job evaluation, classification, and benefits cost structures.Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, including wage laws and benefits compliance requirements.Skill in developing analytical models that evaluate pay competitiveness or benefits utilization.Skill in drafting compensation or benefits summaries for leadership review with clear rationale.Skill in explaining sensitive compensation or benefits implications to influence understanding and alignment.Job DetailsJob Type: Full-timeCategory: Human ResourcesSalaried: Salaried
